MOSAICS
DESIGN PATRIK REŠL

THE story
The sustainable material BROKISGLASS finds a new purpose in the form of mosaics. While the design is inspired by historical mosaics, it incorporates modern materials and timeless forms. Craftsmanship plays a crucial role, giving each mosaic its own unique personality.
Essential handcrafted work takes place at every step of the process, from the creation of the molten glass, to the careful selection of the shards, their arrangement in the moulds, and final processing. The primary benefit of the technology is the transformation of waste glass into a new material, giving rise to an effective ecological upcycling of a raw input.

Patrik Rešl is a Czech product and interior designer working at the intersection of aesthetics, functionality, and sustainable materials. His work emphasizes precise craftsmanship and timeless solutions.
In collaboration with BROKISGLASS, he has developed the MOSAICS collection, where the shapes of the individual mosaic segments are inspired by nature, evoking honeycomb structures, water droplets, and butterfly wings.

Materials and colours
BROKISGLASS mosaics are far more than products inspired by nature – their sophisticated design maximizes material usage with zero waste, ensuring a sustainable manufacturing process. Every millimetre of a mosaic tile is the result of meticulous handcrafting, making each piece truly unique. They are available in five different shapes and three distinct BROKISGLASS colours: Triplex Opal, Smoke Grey, Smoke Brown.
PRODUCT TYPES
Mosaics can be purchased either as individual segments or as preassembled tiles.
Segments are sold in sets of 12 and can be applied individually, depending on the customer’s needs.
Tiles are made from segments pre-mounted on mesh backing. The individual tiles cover an area of 0.95 m² and are sold in sets of three.
Additionally, we offer bespoke solutions, such as mounting on a suitable backing material, most commonly oriented strand board (OSB).
